Website & Software Localization

Your site or product, localized and kept consistent as it grows.

Scoped per project — see why below.

Website & Software Localization

Who this is for

  • You're a product or localization manager launching into a German- or English-speaking market.
  • You need your CMS or app strings exported, translated and re-imported without breaking layout.
  • You have character-limit constraints in a UI that a literal translation regularly blows past.
  • You need a glossary maintained as your product updates, so terminology doesn't drift release to release.
  • You are localizing marketing pages and in-product copy together and need them to sound consistent.

What's included

  • File-format handling for real export formats — JSON, YAML, .po/.pot, XLIFF, CSV, CMS-native exports — not copy-pasted spreadsheets.
  • Translation memory (TM) and glossary setup, maintained and reused across every future update — you don't pay to re-translate strings that haven't changed.
  • Character-limit awareness for UI strings, flagged and adapted where a literal translation would overflow.
  • A defined process for incremental updates — new strings only, not a full re-export each release.

Turnaround: Agreed per project scope; ongoing update cycles agreed as part of the initial project.

File formats: JSON, YAML, .po/.pot, XLIFF, CSV, and direct CMS export/import where supported.

How this service runs

01

Scope the project.

What's being localized, which formats, one-off or ongoing — we confirm scope and a fixed or milestone-based price.

02

Set up the glossary and TM.

Built from your existing content and brand voice, so terminology is consistent from string one.

03

Translate and adapt for the UI.

Character limits and layout constraints respected, not discovered after import.

04

Deliver in your export format, and support the next update.

Re-import cleanly; for ongoing products, later updates only translate what has changed.

Pricing for this service

Scoped per project — see why below.

What moves the price

Scoped per project — not a flat per-word rate. A localization project's real cost depends on file engineering, glossary setup and how the content is structured — not just word count. A per-word number without seeing the files would be a guess we can't honour. Tell us the scope and we quote a fixed price or a milestone structure before work starts.

Scoping call

Tell us what's being localized.

Share the site, app or export format and roughly how much content there is — we'll come back with scope and price, usually within two business days for a first read.

Get a quote

Product content — especially anything pre-launch — is handled under our standard confidentiality policy, with an NDA available on request. File access is limited to what the project needs, and export files are deleted from our systems on the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy once the project concludes, unless you ask us to keep the TM/glossary for future updates.
