A translation agency based where translation is a daily fact of life.
business-translate is based in Saarburg-Beurig, in the Trier region — minutes from Luxembourg and France, in a corner of Germany where people, business and paperwork cross the border constantly. That's not a backdrop; it's the reason this agency exists in this shape: built around documents that genuinely have to work in more than one language, for people who actually need them to.
We treat every order with the procedural rigour of a legal document — whether it's a birth certificate or a board contract.
How linguists are selected
- Matched by subject matter A legal document goes to a linguist working in legal translation; a clinical document to one working in medical and life sciences. We don't run everything through the same generalist pool.
- Matched by authorisation, for certified work Certified/sworn translation is handled only by translators authorised to certify documents for German authorities.
- Reviewed on the Professional tier A second linguist checks the work independently before delivery — the four-eyes principle — on any order where you choose that tier.
- Briefed on your document, not a generic instruction Deadline, purpose and receiving authority or audience are part of every brief, not an afterthought.
How every order runs, in detail
01
Brief
We confirm document type, language pair, deadline, and whether certification is required — and give you a fixed price before anything starts.
02
Linguist selection
Matched by subject matter and, for certified work, by authorisation to certify for German authorities.
03
Translation
Worked against the source with the brief in mind, not translated in a vacuum.
04
Second-linguist review (Professional tier)
An independent check by a second linguist before delivery, for orders where a single pass isn't enough.
05
Quality check & delivery
Formatting, certification requirements and file format confirmed before it reaches you.
What happens to your documents
Documents are handled under a defined retention and deletion schedule — described in full on our Privacy Policy — and an NDA is available on request before we receive anything sensitive. Access to a given document is limited to the people working on it. We don't publish a badge for this; we publish the policy itself, because that's what you can actually check.
